About the Book
ARCHITECTURAL VOICES OF INDIA: A Blend of Contemporary and Traditional Ethos, authored by Ar. Apurva Bose Dutta and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK, brings out the voices of 19 illustrious architects from India across generations, conversing through dialogues about the core issues and perspectives around architecture. These voices bring to the forefront unique and inspirational journeys, varied design philosophies and building typologies, and weaves a narrative on the state of the profession in India and globally, the evolution of architecture and its universal impact, and a reflection on the new role that architects should play.

Tracing the trajectory of Indian architecture in modern times and reflecting on its theory, the book brings together some of the renowned architects, including BV Doshi, Sanjay Puri, Hafeez Contractor, Sonali and Manit Rastogi, Karan Grover, Christopher Benninger, CN Raghavendran, Sanjay Mohe, Raj Rewal, Sandeep Khosla, Parul Zaveri and Nimish Patel, Ravindra Bhan, Kamal Malik, Shiv Datt Sharma, Jasbir Sawhney, Brinda Somaya and Prem Nath.

The book that has takeaways for all genres of readers highlights the responsibility of architectural conversation/discourse and talks about architecture being an integral part of building a nation.

About the author & Speaker
Ar. Apurva Bose Dutta ( is an Indian author and award-winning architectural journalist. Coming from two of the most revolutionary architectural cities in India— Chandigarh, her home town, and Bangalore, where she is presently based—Apurva in her 13 years of career has developed extensive expertise in writing, researching, editing and curating architecture and design content and discourses for the print and digital media. Her professional journey has seen collaborations globally with multiple print and digital architecture and design publications, publishing houses, firms and organisations. Her academic background (B.Arch, Chandigarh College of Architecture; Diploma in freelance journalism, UK) are further explored in her additional roles, of being a professional speaker, organising workshops and consulting for academic and professional industry initiatives.

Her first-authored book, ARCHITECTURAL VOICES OF INDIA: A Blend of Contemporary and Traditional Ethos (published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK) was launched in 2017 end. It brings together the voices of 19 illustrious Indian architects across generations, initiating discourses on architecture—as a subject and as a profession.

The invitation is limited to 15 persons because of the current location is in residential area, Realrich, the home owner decided to respect the neighborhood by limiting visitor to permission-only visitation to his friends, new friends and all of new people who like to learn architecture.
