Brownbag #8 – Agustin & Dini Aghnia Lukman

RAW in conjunction with OMAH Library presents another Final Project presentation, a sharing by two of RAW’s designers, Agustin, a fresh graduate architecture designer from Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas and Dini Aghnia Lukman from Bandung Technology Institute.

In this session, Agustin will presenting her final project’s titled: Children’s Job Experience Theme Park Palembang. She argue that introduction into profession’s life is important for children. So her design simulates the place whereas children can apply their interest to certain field in comfortable and safe area. The issue challenges preconception about kid’s joyful playground, rather injected with sense of responsibility yet educative. In this work, she choose Palembang, which has several places to develop insights child. However, the development of insight is not only done through the insights of science and technology. So to develop insights in the field of this profession requires a special place to accommodate the activities in Palembang.

Dini Aghnia Lukman will show her final projects: Enchancing passenger experience: Extension of Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport Ultimate Passenger Terminal, PekanbaruThe main concept in the design of this passenger terminal is “Enchancing Passenger Experience” which is applied to several aspect of planning such as exterior, interior, and space program. Issue of identity and locality is an important issue in designing this passenger terminal as the main gateway of tourism in Riau Province and Pekanbaru City in particular, to introduce local culture. In addition, there are also security and safety issues, circulation, and eco airport.
