Bitter Sweet #07 Memories in Architects Life – Achmad Noerzaman

Hi, Restless Spirit!

It’s been a long time since Prof. Danisworo shared his story of how bitter and sweet his life as an architect. Well, now we are glad to invite all you guys to another Bittersweet Memories in Design Experiences. Pak Achmad Noerzaman will share his experiences with us.

He graduated from Faculty of Architecture University of Indonesia and took his master degree at Institute of Economic. He started his career as a junior architect at ARKONIN, a multi-discipline company provide design architecture, structure, utility, and interior service. ARKONIN received The Best Ten Architecture Consultant from BCI Awards 2016. Currently, Pak Noerzaman is a president director in that company.

He has handled various projects in both small and big scales, such as office buildings, hotels, apartments, educational buildings, hospitals, shopping centers, sports facilities, transportations, and masterplan projects. He has won several design competition, such as 2nd place of Library Padjajaran University, 1st place of Airport of Samarinda, 2nd place of Activity Center University of Indonesia. He also Honorary Board Member of IAI DKI Jakarta, Member of TABG (Team Ahli Bangunan Gedung) Jakarta.

In our situation now, most architects decide to establish their own studios and it is consider as one of parameters of success. However, Pak Noerzaman proves that he is able to succeed in his own way with consistent work with ARKONIN. Let’s learn from him!
