Omah Architecture Library kindly invited you to our Bittersweet Memories in Design Experiences with Budi Pradono.

On the latest Bittersweet Memories in Design Experiences, Charles Barguirdjian and Erick Kristanto share with us about how important a research for developing a project. Budipradono Architects is one of architectural studios in Indonesia that based on the research, mainly in urban design and contemporary lifeslyle. The works develops through research analysis of practical as well as theoretical issues ranging from program, typology, material, structure, scale and use, to larger networks of social, environmental and cultural consideration.

Budi Pradono is founder and principal of this cross-disciplinary studio. He studied at Duta Wacana Christian University for his bachelor degree, and at Berlage Institute for master degree. He has been worked in Beverley Garlick Architects, Sydney and Kengo Kuma & Associates, Tokyo.

One of things that will shaped the architect’s design is his sweet and bitter childhood experiences. It brought collective memory from the past to created something in the present and created his own way to shape his practice, design approach, or even his way of life. Fortunately, he will share it with us.
